Native to Japan, Japanese Irises are said to be among the most elegant and breathtaking Irises. This variety, Iris ensata 'Kaempferi' is a pretty purple-blue colour. Blooming from early to mid summer, they are the last Irises to bloom, usually about 2 weeks after the Siberian Irises and about 3 weeks after the Tall Bearded Irises. We sell them as transplants. You can order three, five or six and you get better value the more you order. Put the rhizomes (little root systems) in the ground and cover with soil then water.
