Bold in colour and hardy, Dutch Iris grow to about 50 cm, somewhere between the dwarf varieties (Iris reticulata) that grow about 10 cm tall and the Bearded Iris (Iris germanica) growing to about 1 metre. This yellow and white variety really stands out. The lovely little flowers come early every spring when there is not much else in the garden. Just dig a little hole about 15 cm deep. Put the bulbs in, cover with soil then firm down and water.
