You can buy two, three or five Dahlias getting better value for the more you order. The tubers can be lifted and kept dry in the shed over winter, when they can also be divided, provided each division has a viable bud; or take a chance in milder parts of the UK and leave them in the ground. They will frequently survive to the next year, for a bigger and brighter display.
