Toad Lily is an ornamental plant. It is an upright perennial with lance-shaped leaves, edged with creamy-yellow. It grows to about 50 cm and has orchid-like flowers spotted and streaked with purple from late summer to autumn. It likes a damp shady area. Sold here as sections of bare roots wrapped up in a bag for protection. You can buy one, two or three roots when you order. To plant, simply dig a hole, place the root in it with the bud just showing above the surface, cover with soil, firm down and water.
