Hostas are one of the best foliage plants for light to medium shade and are deservedly popular. They are resilient and easy-to-grow plants, available in a wide range of leaf colours, sizes and shapes. This variety Hosta 'Blue Umbrellas' has heart-shaped, cupped, puckered, blue-green leaves. It has grey-ish white flowers in mid-summer. It grows to about one metre height and one metre spread and is fully hardy. We supply it in a 12 centimetre diameter pot, established and ready to plant at any time of year. Simply dig a hole, place the hosta root-ball in it, back-fill with soil and water well.
