This is an attractive herbaceous plant, with beautiful cupped flowers in December. It will continue flowering throughout the coldest months. Brilliant white against evergreen foliage and the flowers themselves can turn a dusty green colour, making them a subtle attraction in the winter garden. When flowering has finished the leaves shrivel away but the roots remain healthy underground, to flush with growth the following autumn.
