Hostas are one of the best foliage plants for light to medium shade and are deservedly popular. This variety, Hosta sieboldiana 'Elegans' has a beautiful smokey green leaves with deep veins that gives them a corrugated look. White flowers bloom in July and August. All our plants are provided as budding sections of bare roots, meaning they do not come in a pot or container but are wrapped up in a bag for protection. You plant the root sections yourself in the garden. Simply dig a hole, place the hosta root in it with the buds just showing above the surface then back-fill with soil, firm down and and water well. You can buy one, two or three bare-root plants with this order.
