Supplied as budding sections of bare roots, meaning they do not come in a pot or container but are wrapped up in a bag for protection. To plant them simply dig a hole about ten centimetres depth, place the hosta root in it with the buds just showing above the surface then back-fill with soil, firm down and and water well. You can buy one, two or three bare-root plants with this order.
