Dahlias selected at random from the best stock, supplied as tubers. These are the pompon and bigger ball-type dahlias with compact flowers that bob about beautifully in the late-summer and autumn. Choose how many you buy with this order. Plant them horizontally approximately 12cm deep in a sunny position and water well for the first few weeks. They can be lifted and kept dry in a shed over winter, when they can also be divided, provided each division has a viable bud. Or take a chance in milder parts of the UK and leave them in the ground, they will frequently survive to the next year, for a bigger and brighter display.
