Sophora microphylla or Small-leaved Kowhai is an evergreen tree or large shrub with a spreading shape. It has pinnate leaves, composed of up to 40 pairs of small, oblong leaflets and yellow, hanging flowers in short sprays in spring. We supply it 45 cm tall, with a good root system in a 9 cm diameter pot. Just dig a hole deep enough to put the entire root-ball in, remove the pot and place the root-ball in the hole with the shrub nice and straight, cover with soil and then firm down and water.
