This variety is Epimedium x youngianum 'Roseum'. The common name is 'Bishop's Mitre' or 'Barrenwort'. It is a clump-forming perennial with heart-shaped, green leaves, copper-red and brown when young. It has charming dusky-pink to purple flowers with red tinted spurs. It grows to about 30cm height and spreads about 1m across. It will thrive in partial shade and flowers March to April. All our plants are provided as sections of bare roots, meaning they do not come in a pot or container but are wrapped up in a bag for protection.  To plant, simply dig a hole, place the root in it with the bud just showing above the surface, back-fill with soil, firm down and water. You can buy one, two or three budding sections of bare-root with this order.
