Hostas are one of the best foliage plants for light to medium shade and are deservedly popular. They are resilient and easy-to-grow plants, available in a wide range of leaf colours, sizes and shapes. This variety Hosta 'Wide Brim' has puckered, heart-shaped, glaucous, green leaves with bold white-cream margins. It has pale lavender-blue flowers in summer. All our plants are provided as sections of bare roots, meaning they do not come in a pot or container but are wrapped up in a bag for protection. You plant the root sections yourself in the garden. Simply dig a hole, place a hosta root in it with the bud just showing above the surface, cover the roots with soil, firm down and water well. You can buy one, two or three root sections with this order.
